Nicolas Raskin is emotional after seeing Mohamed Diomande leave Rangers for Corum.

The Cote d'Ivoire international has moved to Turkiye after two years at the Gers.

With the transfer said to be for an undisclosed fee, Derek McInnes' midfield is slowly starting to take shape.

Raskin considers Diomande his best friend and has shared multiple stories on Instagram to send messages after the 24-year-old's departure from Ibrox.

The Ivorian started the first two games of the season under the ex-Hearts boss, but was left out of the squad during the 2-1 loss to Hibernian.

With two years left on the midfielder's contract, the Glaswegian outfit decided to cash in on him, leaving the Belgian star a bit sad.

Diomande likely won't be Rangers' last sale this summer, but he was one of the more influential players in the dressing room.

On Raskin's first Instagram story on 12 August regarding the Cote d'Ivoire midfielder, he wrote "my best mate," followed by: "All the best, Baba. You deserve everything good in life."

Then the Belgium international posted a picture of Diomande holding a photo of himself in the dressing room.

Raskin also posted a picture of himself with the Ivorian ace and wrote, "You'll be missed, brother."

The former Standard Liege midfielder's last story was of Diomande signing his contract at Corum.

What future holds for Nicolas Raskin

Rangers will surely be bracing themselves to receive offers for Raskin in the coming weeks after his impressive displays at the 2026 World Cup.

With two years left on the 25-year-old's contract, now feels like the best time to cash in on him.

Andrew Cavenagh will undoubtedly be hoping to bring in a decent profit from the midfielder's sale.

Considering the number of reinforcements the Gers made in the engine room earlier in the transfer window, it looks like they had been preparing for the likes of Diomande and Raskin to leave.

McInnes still has plenty of options at his disposal in the middle of the park and a few more departures shouldn't be ruled out.
