Rangers must not concede defeat in signing Gustavo Puerta

While it seems that Hull City are in pole position to secure Puerta on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, this scenario doesn't entirely close the door for Gers.

Football transfers can be fluid, with deals often hinging on last-minute negotiations or player preferences.

Rangers, having shown interest and potentially already having a bid on the table, should not immediately concede defeat.

The dynamics of negotiations can change rapidly and a player's willingness to join a club can shift due to various factors like playing time guarantees, the club's vision, or even personal connections.

If Puerta's move to Hull becomes final or if he expresses a clear unwillingness to move to Ibrox, then it's prudent for the Glasgow outfit to pivot swiftly to alternative targets.
