Four new Rangers signings lined up before deadline after what Kris Boyd's heard
Rangers are hoping to be active in the final days of the transfer window.
Russell Martin has made several new signings already this summer, but it's clear that this Rangers squad are still a long way away from reaching their goals.
It will be hoped that Rangers can sign some superstars before the transfer window closes, if only to boost some morale in the squad.
The Light Blues have drawn all three of their Scottish Premiership games and were dumped out of the Champions League 9-1 on aggregate by Club Brugge.
Kris Boyd suggests Rangers could sign four more players
It has been suggested that Rangers could sign as many as four players in the transfer window.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Kris Boyd tipped them to sign a left-back, a centre-back and two new strikers.
These will mostly be replacements for the players that Rangers have sold or are planning to sell. Jefte and Robin Propper have been let go, while Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers have been tipped to follow.
Boyd said: "The number nine areas, for me, is weak. Cyril Dessers was Rangers star man last year in that role. He's got a few niggles.
"Personally, I think they need to get two strikers in because it's a position in the pitch that you can't really mess around with."
Boyd mentioned Bojan Miovski as a striker that he would love to see at Rangers.
The Macedonian striker is currently in talks to join Rangers from Girona. Miovski had previously excelled with Aberdeen before moving to Spain.

Rangers fielded eight new signings against Club Brugge on Wednesday, but none of them they looked like what it meant to wear the shirt.
The majority of the players recruited this summer had not previously played in Europe. They certainly hadn't played for a club the size of Rangers.
And it showed.
Their starting midfield was
- Joe Rothwell, 30, signed from Bournemouth
- Thelo Aasgaard, 23, signed from Luton
- Lyall Cameron, 22, signed from Dundee
When the going got tough away from home against a top side, they collapsed.
Perhaps they will blame the sending off of Max Aarons for the disastrous performance, but experienced professionals would never have let Brugge run up the score so quickly.
They won't get any empathy if they deliver a similar performance in the Old Firm Derby at the weekend, but you get the feeling it could happen if the game doesn't start in Rangers' favour.
That's what happens when you throw inexperienced players into high-pressure situations.
Hopefully, Martin will be able to address these serious flaw in the final days of the transfer window.
