Nicolas Raskin's move to Besiktas from Rangers may not happen after all.
The Istanbul-based outfit had emerged as a late contender for the Belgian's signature.
The Super Lig side tried a loan to buy approach before launching a permanent bid for Raskin's services, which was rejected by the Light Blues.
A third bid was reportedly subject of internal discussions within the Turkish club.

The situation revolving Raskin's proposed move to the 16-time Turkish champions is a shaky one.
Turkish journalist Dogukan Yildirim exclusively revealed to Ibrox News that the Europa League outfit are looking elsewhere.
He said: “Raskin’s transfer is now looking increasingly impossible.
“Besiktas are looking for another midfielder they can register and play in the Super Lig by tomorrow.”
It seems like a realistic possibility that Raskin could stay put in Govan until the winter transfer window at the moment.
What has Derek McInnes said about Raskin exit?
Raskin may end up being a key part of the Light Blues' season, at least until January, if nothing changes.
He featured in the 2-1 win over Falkirk on Wednesday, and Derek McInnes suggested he may not leave in the aftermath of that game.
Speaking to the media, he said: “No. No. I think he will stay.
“I can’t say for certain, I’m not in control of that.
“Obviously Nico’s had an opportunity to go today, and it wasn’t something he wanted or the club or entertained."
Given the latest update from Turkey, it seems like the chances of an exit are reducing more and more, the closer we get to the deadline.
The Bears are understood to value the player at around £20million, so interested clubs may have been put off by that figure, if the Auchenhowie side are unwilling to compromise.
The transfer window in Turkey is open until 4 September, so there is another day for something to happen, a twist in the tale, but it does not look likely given the current state of things.
