Rangers have been extremely in the transfer window so far.

Derek McInnes' replaced Danny Rohl as head coach at Ibrox, and work has been extensive to add to his squad.

Ivor Pandur arrived from Hull City to bolster the goalkeeping ranks, as Jack Butland moved in the other direction.

Ross McCrorie and Ben Godfrey have added to the defensive options, while Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin boost the numbers in midfield.

Lawrence Shankland, like Devlin and McInnes, has made the switch from Hearts, and brings proven pedigree in front of goal.

More work is still to be done, but Ibrox News has ranked each Rangers position from strongest to weakest.

Midfielders - 8/10

McInnes clearly identified the engine room as an area where he wanted more bodies, with Neil and Devlin strengthening the centre of midfield.

Lewis Ferguson, Jens Hjerto-Dahl, and Vanja Dragojevic are all being linked as well, with more business seemingly on the cards.

There are caveats here, too, with Nico Raskin a top performer, but facing an uncertain future now his World Cup exploits with Belgium are over.

Tochi Chukwuani performed well after joining in January, but Connor Barron might be moved on if reports are to be believed.

Lyall Cameron represents another option, but there will be efforts made to try and get Jose Cifuentes off the books for good after his return from Toronto FC.

Defenders - 7/10

The addition of McCrorie adds versatility, and a player who is battled hardened in the Scottish Premiership.

Godfrey has a point to prove after a couple of disappointing loan spells, and Rangers will hope he is chomping at the bit to make this a success.

Emmanuel Ferandez is one of the better performers, and John Souttar is a man who always puts his body on the line.

Right-back might be a little light, with McCrorie likely signed to play there, while Dujon Sterling is around still and fill in several positions.

Tuur Rommens has the left-back position on lock at the moment, with Rangers maybe in need of a bit more cover there.

Goalkeepers - 6/10

On the face of it, this might seem a little harsh.

But, the truth is, we're not entirely sure how much of a success Pandur will be just yet.

He was very impressive in the Championship with Hull City, and there is hope the Croatia international will be a big hit at Ibrox.

We need to see just how he performs first, though, before possibly upgrading this score.

Liam Kelly opting to sign a new contract is good news, as he offers experienced back-up, while Kieran Wright is also on the books.

Forwards - 5/10

Again, on the face of it, this might seem harsh, but here's the thinking.

The addition of Shankland makes the current striker options stronger, with Youssef Chermiti and Bojan Miovski also on the books.

But Miovski struggled in his debut campaign at Ibrox, and Chermiti's future looks a little uncertain, while a permanent exit for Danilo has to be on the cards.

Out on the flanks, both Djeidi Gassama and Oliver Antman have bags of potential, but flattered to deceive massively at times.

Findlay Curtis has bags of potential, but Ross McCausland you feel will be moved on once again.

Thelo Aasgaard and Nedim Bajrami have undoubted talent, but must do more consistently to prove they can play a part in the new era under McInnes.
