Rangers can now secure the services of Salernitana left-back Domagoj Bradaric for only £1.7million, according to Il Mattino, as quoted by the Daily Record.

The news outlet reported on 21 August that the Italian side are willing to let him leave on a permanent deal rather than on loan before the transfer deadline.

He was initially available for £4.2million, but his valuation has dropped significantly by £2.5million as they're keen to offload him.

Rangers can negotiate a favourable transfer fee for Domagoj Bradaric

With the initial asking price already slashed from £4.2million to £1.7million, it's evident that the club are keen to offload him, likely due to financial pressures or squad management issues.

Rangers could begin by highlighting their own financial constraints, suggesting that even the reduced fee might be too high, pushing for a lower fee or a payment structure that includes performance-based add-ons.

Additionally, by playing the market, Gers could imply that they might look elsewhere if the price isn't right, creating deadline pressure for Salernitana.

Although Salernitana prefers a permanent transfer, the Ibrox outfit might still propose a loan with an option to buy, linking the final fee to Bradaric's performance or team success, which could be mutually beneficial.

Given Ridvan Yilmaz's history of injuries and Jefte being used as a potential option further up the pitch, signing a left-back makes a lot of sense.
