However, there's no guarantee that Gassama stays at Ibrox beyond Monday, and there may still be a need for Curtis come the end of the winter market.
Rohl needs to play his cards carefully, because at the same time, Curtis' development is crucial for the Bears.

The loss to Porto brings an eight game winning streak to a crashing end, and could be harmful for the Gers' momentum.
However, the fact that Rangers are now out of the Europa League is key to their chances of winning the league title.
Rangers are closing in on Hearts, and they could just be about there once the window closes, if Rohl is to land a new striker.
But again, the importance of sanctioning the correct loan exits for promising prospects goes beyond the short-term success of the Bears.
