Danny Rohl already pulls transfer strings before Rangers exit with £6m agreement close - view
Danny Rohl is only a matter of time away from leaving Rangers for Austrian side RB Salzburg.
They say time moves quickly and loyalty is nothing in football, and the German will leave Ibrox before even completing a full season in charge.
Rangers fans are relatively relaxed over the departure too, with the end-of-season collapse not going down well.
Derek McInnes is already lined up to take over, and those at Ibrox will hope he is already drawing up his plans for the squad.
Andrew Cavenagh has already promised significant transfer backing, started by the signing of Lawrence Shankland.
And with McInnes set to follow from Hearts, Rohl appears to be moving on before the announcement is made and ink has dried.
Danny Rohl clearly calling shots at RB Salzburg already
Rohl may not have been announced by the Austrians, but they are moving ahead with changes in their squad.
John Percy reported on Tuesday that RB Salzburg are close to agreeing upon a fee to sell Bobby Clark to Derby County.
It is said that it could cost the Championship side £6million to get a deal over the line, with progress being made.
After spending last campaign on loan with the Rams and winning their Young Player of the Season award, he still won't get a chance at his parent club.
It is a hefty deal that could be worth millions to Salzburg, so surely Rohl will have been consulted before selling a member of his soon-to-be-squad.
Bobby Clark could have joined Rangers
Ironically, the former Liverpool midfielder could have been wearing the blue of Rangers right now.
Linked with the Light Blues and Celtic, it's Derby who will win the race.
Rohl is clearly pulling the strings in Austria, so Rangers fans will hope that McInnes is doing the same.
Shankland was an incredible first signing, and it looks even better now that the boss who gets the best out of him is following.
As for Clark, the interest was never more than links, but with Nicolas Raskin attracting strong attention at the World Cup, a new midfielder is certainly on the list.
Following this trend, McInnes and the Rangers board will be lining up their targets at this very second.
