Danny Rohl would like to see Motherwell midfielder Elliot Watt at Rangers in the winter transfer window.

The 25-year-old is on the German manager's radar after catching a lot of people's attention with his performances at Fir Park.

Rohl is prioritising a new number six at Ibrox, and the Steelmen's defensive midfielder could potentially be the answer to the former Sheffield Wednesday boss' desires.

Andrew Cavenagh is expected to be involved with Stig Inge Bjornebye in the Light Blues' recruitment strategy in January, and it will be interesting to see what they think of the Scotland Under-21 international.

Rangers will have to move quickly for Elliot Watt

Watt's performances this season have made him a contender to be part of Steve Clarke's 2026 World Cup squad.

According to The Sun on 1 January, interest in the midfielder is growing, which could force the Gers to move quickly to secure his signature.

The news outlet reports that, while no official contact has been made with the Motherwell star, Rohl is eyeing a possible transfer for him at Ibrox.

With the German manager admiring Watts' quality, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Glaswegian outfit make an approach for him.

Tromso's Jens Hjerto-Dahl is another player linked to Ibrox, with the Norway Under-21 midfielder one of the most significant prospects in Eliteserien.

Rangers are open to selling Danilo in January despite the Brazil forward showing glimpses of his talent under Rohl.

The Gers seem to be making room for additional arrivals in the coming weeks and may be raising funds to strengthen the German manager's squad.

It wouldn't be surprising to see other players like Joe Rothwell, Kierna Dowell and Rabbi Matondo leave soon, as they don't look to be in Rohl's plans.

Fans in G51 are anticipating a busy period following the recent noise coming out of Ibrox.
