Rangers’ managerial hunt looks set to come to an end as Brian Priske is heavily linked to the post.

The former Feyenoord manager has been out of work since February after winning numerous titles across Europe.

It has now been reported that Priske is set to join Rangers after holding talks.

If the Dane is appointed, he will no doubt have a big summer ahead, with signings and departures expected as he attempts to shape his squad.

Priske will surely want rid of Kasanwirjo amid his potential appointment

One player who Priske will need no introducing to is Neraysho Kasanwirjo.

The Dutch defender was at Feyenoord under the Dane and had played a couple of games under the manager.

However, it wasn’t long until Kasanwirjo was sent out on loan, with Rangers securing the deal for the 23-year-old.

The defender has since played 15 games for the Glaswegians as he became a solid option in the squad.

Rangers do have the option to buy Kasanwirjo at the end of his loan spell. However, Priske will surely veto this.

The Dane has assessed the defender in the past and clearly thought he was not good enough to play a part in his side.

Therefore, it would be extremely surprising if one of his first signings at Ibrox was the 23-year-old.

Surely, as soon as Priske is appointed, Kasanwirjo’s stay in Glasgow comes to an end.

Priske may look to the Eredivisie for signings

Over the years, Rangers have brought in multiple players with experience in the Dutch league who have had mixed careers at Ibrox.

In comparison, Cyriel Dessers had experience at Feyenoord before his move to Rangers, where he has proved to be a consistent goal scorer.

If Priske is appointed, he may look to the Eredivisie once again to bring in players.

It is clear that there are potential bargains in the league and hopefully, the manager knows enough about the division to avoid the flops.
