Rice should seek an exit from Rangers, that would be the best outcome for his career.

The Daily Record states that the most important thing will be playing time, and it does not sound like Rohl has guaranteed that.

The youngster has featured just 16 times since joining the Gers in 2022, and should look elsewhere to continue his development.

What will convince Rice that his future lies away from Rangers

Rohl has still not proven that he can put his faith in youth in Govan, and that should convince Rice that he should move on.

He spent most of last season injured, but Rohl has not exactly made it clear that he will be handed opportunities to get into the team.

The Light Blues have several options ahead of him in the pecking order, with Nico Raskin, Tochi Chukwuani, Mohamed Diomande, Connor Barron all pushing for starting spots.

If he was to join the likes of relegated West Ham or Schalke, he would likely have a much easier path to the first-team, and that may play a huge part in his decision.
