Rangers target Albion Rrahmani is very close to a transfer to Sparta Prague following recent transfer speculation, according to ProSport.

The Romanian outlet reported on 29 June that despite a move to the Czech Republic being close, the Gers have not yet given up hope on acquiring the services of the Kosovo international.

However, Sparta are now "closer to the materialisation" of a deal which could amount to around £2.5million.

Why Rangers should match Sparta Prague bid for Albion Rrahmani

It's a well-known fact that Rangers are set to undergo a summer of change with moves already beginning to take place.

The likes of John Lundstram and Borna Barisic have departed Ibrox, while players such as Connor Barron and Jefte have arrived to replace them.

The Gers were due a massive overhaul of their playing staff and judging off how ruthless Phillipe Clement has been thus far, it doesn't look like he's stopping any time soon.

Rrahmani would be a solid addition to the Glasgow-based outfit and a significant upgrade on Kemar Roofe.

Rangers will be seeking further transfer reinforcements this summer

Whilst with Rapid Bucharest in the Romanian Super League last season, the striker played 25 games and contributed to a total of 22 goals.

These numbers aren't easy to come by and, with Cyriel Dessers looking to find an exit from the Gers this summer, the Kosovo international could be the answer Clement is looking for to finally beat arch-rivals, Celtic.
