New Rangers signing Connor Barron was spotted at Auchenhowie after sealing a permanent move to Ibrox, according to the Daily Record.

The news outlet reported on 24 June that Gers are still entitled to pay Aberdeen a £525,000 fee unless they try their luck and take it to a tribunal.

That's because the Dons are entitled to compensation as the 21-year-old rose through the ranks at their academy to make 76 first-team appearances for them.

Connor Barron will be hoping to become a first-team regular at Rangers

The 21-year-old midfielder will be eager to establish himself as a first-team regular at Ibrox following his move from Aberdeen.

He has the potential to make an immediate impact in the upcoming season, given his experience and skills.

Barron's versatility and ability to play in different midfield roles could be a significant asset for Philippe Clement.

The midfielder's early impressions in pre-season training will be crucial and he will need to showcase his technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness to convince Clement that he deserves a spot in the starting lineup.

Barron's experience in the Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen will help him adapt quickly to the demands of playing for a top club like Rangers.
