Rangers look set to part ways with Simon Ireland already.
There were mass changes at Ibrox over the summer as Derek McInnes came in as new head coach,
He was joined by a selection of coaches, but one alteration in G51 was forced upon him.
Scott Fry departed his role as set-piece coach to join English Championship side Birmingham City.
Ireland came in to replace him as a deal was quickly wrapped up to bring him to Govan.
Just two months later he is packing his bags, so what has gone wrong?
Why is Simon Ireland leaving Rangers?
In the modern football world, there is a need for set-pieces to be a regular source of goals.
Specific coaches have become the norm and the G51 club are no different.
Fry had been in the role since November 2025 and was just another name to depart just moves into his time with the Light Blues.
Ireland replaced him in July having previously worked as assistant head coach of Barrow AFC.
He had been named as set-piece coach at Huddersfield Town from September 2023 to January 2024 and took up the same role at Ibrox.
That is now over after just two months with the Rangers Review reporting on Monday that he has left his role.
Their report details that Ireland hasn't been in the dugout with McInnes since August and has now been moved on.
It comes after a poor start to the season from dead balls as the Gers boss has seemingly had enough.
What has been Rangers' record from set-pieces this season?
It's no real surprise that a change has been sought after in this area.
The Gers are yet to score a single set-piece in the Scottish Premiership this season.
They are only one of three sides in the entire division with that record, while only creating 2.8 expected goals from them.
That has clearly frustrated McInnes, who has been vocal in his feeling towards dead ball situations.
Speaking in his press conference on Friday he suggested that his team have "struggled" in that area.
He has wasted no time in looking to make a change to rectify that problem.
