Badredine Bouanani could finally get his second start for Rangers against Kilmarnock.

The Algeria international played around an hour against St Mirren, but had to contend with minutes off the bench in the two games against Celtic.

Derek McInnes' team return to action on 10 October at Ibrox after the extended three-week international break.

Bouanani could potentially be the first name on the teamsheet.

The Glaswegian outfit will be looking to continue their seven-game winning streak in domestic competitions.

There has been plenty of fanfare around the 21-year-old, who was signed on loan from VfB Stuttgart on deadline day, and he could be given the chance to shine against Killie.

What's been said about Badredine Bouanani signing at Rangers

Bouanani showcased glimpses of his talent against St Mirren, with inward crosses from his left foot clearly a prominent part of his game.

In the two Old Firm derbies, the Algerian ace didn't have much time to stamp his authority.

The Kilmarnock fixture may present an opportunity for the winger to have a bigger impact for the Gers, with reliable journalist Joshua Barrie making a case for him to start.

McInnes didn't make any changes to his team in the two Celtic matches after back-to-back dominant performances and it will be interesting to see how he sets up his team at Ibrox.

Speaking on the Rangers Review on 5 October, Barrie said, "I've been basically told he has been signed for these games.

"I've been told again, in training, he's such a sharp player, technically clean player. Not like a powerful runner who's going to go to the byline and cut back, maybe like a [Djeidi] Gassama."

Who Badredine Bouanani could replace vs Kilmarnock

McInnes has largely preferred a 4-4-2 or a 4-2-3-1 formation at Rangers this season.

Gassama has been preferred on the left-wing, while Daisuke Yokota played a few games on the right before his injury.

Minsu Kim has occupied the space on the right-wing in recent matches, with Ryan Naderi and Kevin Jelsy playing up top.

If McInnes decides to keep the Czechia international's running power and the Venezuelan striker's physicality against Kilmarnock, then Bouanani would likely replace the ex-Girona ace in the starting lineup.

Kim has featured heavily for South Korea during the international break and may need some rest when he returns.
