Tom English can't believe 'dismal' news coming out of Rangers
Days after Rangers smashed their rivals twice in a week, the Old Firm drama has continued off the pitch.
Last season, Celtic were given the full Broomloan Stand for the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.
Despite the Bears dominating for 120 minutes, they somehow won the tie on penalties.
After the game, chaos ensued between fans on the pitch and it's led to £100,000 fines, no away fans at Old Firms and a behind-closed-doors Scottish Cup fixture next.
Appeals have followed certain punishments, and Tom English isn't happy.
What's been said about Rangers appeal?
The relationship between Rangers and the Scottish FA is patchy, to say the best.
Let's get it straight, though, this appeal is just down to the severity of the charges, with an empty stadium for one game a big financial loss on top of an already hefty fine.
BBC Sport journalist, English, wasn't having it though.
Writing on X, he said: "Too much to hope that they’d accept their share of the blame and send a message to those responsible among their own support.
"Dismal stuff from both sides."
New Rangers want to forget about last season
Derek McInnes obviously wasn't around for this, but he's banished many demons in recent weeks.
Rangers have so often pushed Celtic all the way in recent years, only to throw away leads or games that were there for the taking, just like this cup tie.
Now, that's changed.
Rangers smashing their rivals 4-0 in total over two games, home and away, is a sign that things are changing.
Celtic are in disarray and out of the first cup competition already, with Nicolas Raskin joined by new signings taking it to their rivals.
Zero fans or not, Rangers have proven they can deal with what's thrown at them over the past fortnight, but the same can't be said for Martin O'Neill and Co.
The Blues won't join the competition until January in round four, and we'll know whether or not the appeal has been successful way before then.
With the hearing set for the end of October, things will go quiet before the inevitable noise around the Old Firm picks up again.
