Rangers will be considering at least three different factors before going ahead with the transfer of Stoke City midfielder Souleymane Sidibe, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as he's only 17 with very little first-team experience, Gers will be looking at his physical and mental fitness along with how technically ready he is for senior football.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

"Rangers will be looking at a variety of factors including physical fitness, mental fitness, and technical readiness.

"If there are deficits, then they’ll be gauging to see how he responds to off-season and pre-season work to see if he can bridge the gap.

"The switch from youth football to a senior role is oftentimes a hard one and players need to be eased into it and their minutes need to be managed carefully."

Sidibe may be one for the future for Rangers

The Frenchman has only made a handful of appearances for Stoke so it could be possible that Gers are eyeing him for the future.

He has been capped at the under-17 and under-18 levels for England despite being born in Paris.
