Bojan Miovski has taken just nine shots in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Miovski signed for Rangers from Girona over the summer with great expectations for him to succeed.

However, Mivoski has been a disappointment in Rangers colours and has struggled to find his feet at Ibrox.

While there was optimism when Danny Rohl replaced Russell Martin at Ibrox, the forward has yet to score under his new manager.

Despite this, Miovski doesn't deserve to shoulder all of the blame and more importantly, has time to turn things around this season.

Bojan Miovski is an afterthought at Rangers

It is no secret that Miovski has underperformed for Rangers this season, having netted just one goal in eight appearances.

However, the forward has gone without sufficient goalscoring chances:

  • He has taken nine shots in the Championship this season
  • This equates to 1.60 shots per 90
  • He has recorded an 11.1 per cent conversion rate

Miovski has also averaged 0.3 key passes and 16.3 touches per game according to Sofascore.

While there is an argument to be made that the 26-year-old hasn't been clinical this season, his conversion rate indicates this isn't the case.

He has missed three big chances this season. However, his conversion rate suggests that he would score more with a greater number of chances.

Therefore, Miovski no doubt has to improve, but this is a team, not an individual issue.

How does this compare to Rangers' other players?

Miovski's shot per 90 stat ranks him just behind Mikey Moore, who is seventh among the Gers stars.

Moore arrived at Ibrox on loan from Tottenham over the summer, but struggled to perform under Martin.

The young left winger has since turned his situation around and netted his first Championship goal in Rangers' 3-0 win over Dundee before the international break.

Danilo tops the list and has averaged 3.10 shots per 90 this season with a 20 per cent conversion rate.

Thelo Aasgaard is second, having averaged 2.50 shots per game this season, with his conversion rate distancing him from Djeidi Gassama, who has averaged the same number of shots per game.

Youssef Chermiti is fourth, followed by James Tavernier and Oliver Antman, who is sixth with 1.80 shots per game.

While the stat highlights the efficiency of some of Rangers' top-performers this season, it also shows that Rohl has some work to do before all his stars are performing at their best level.
