Rangers striker Bojan Miovski is raring to go ahead of North Macedonia's game against Scotland on Saturday.

The two sides have had a poor start in the Nations League, but will meet each other at the Nacionalna Arena Tose Proeski this weekend.

Sebastien Pocognoli hasn't gotten off to the start he would have hoped for with the Tartan Army, who are still shaking off the feeling of their World Cup disappointment.

Miovski enjoys getting away with North Macedonia, as he's struggled for game time since arriving at Ibrox in 2025.

Despite this, Derek McInnes admires the forward and was keen for him to stay amid interest across Europe this summer.

Miovski has spent five years in Scotland now, but the Rangers striker knows it's business when his nation meets the Tartan Army.

What Bojan Miovski has said about Rangers clash

North Macedonia have failed to score in any of their last six games, as Miovski was the last player to score for their nation.

His strike came in a 7-1 defeat to Wales last November, with head coach Goce Sedloski now under pressure to perform.

But Scotland know that in order to have a successful Nations League campaign, they must beat North Macedonia.

Both sides have plenty to play for, and Miovski will have to put his Scotland affinity aside to do what he needs to do for his own country.

He said, as quoted by the Daily Record: "They haven’t scored a goal so far in this competition, just like us. They are under pressure, and we are also under pressure.

"But we will just look at ourselves and focus on our own national team. But we need a collective effort to win this game and prove our togetherness on the pitch.

"I only have positives to say about their national team. But of course, if I score against them, it would be really nice."

The Rangers striker said he "expected" the Tartan Army to go further than they did in the World Cup under Steve Clarke.

The 27-year-old also warned Scotland that North Macedonia have been analysing them ahead of the crunch game, with Sedloski stating his team are "prepared" and aiming for the win.

Miovski is reportedly set to lead the line for North Macedonia, but will he get the same assurances when he returns to Govan?

What has Derek McInnes said about Miovski?

Mioski has an enhanced chance of making an impact, despite new striker arrivals this summer.

This comes through the absence of Lawrence Shankand and Youssef Chermiti, who are both sidelined with significant injuries right now.

But McInnes couldn't be happier to have Miovski in his squad.

After the striker scored a last-minute winner against St. Mirren, McInnes said: "It's a testament to him and his professionalism. The club had invested a lot in Youssef and Ryan [Naderi], and he's probably wondering, 'Where am I going to fit in here?'

"I'm just delighted we've got someone of his calibre in the building. His experience and execution of the goal were first-class."

That said, Miovski may have to hurt Scotland to give McInnes another reason to start him.
