Ryanair mocks 'Rangers tears' after Europa League final defeat
Airline Ryanair aimed a ruthless jab at Rangers fans on Friday (20 May) after the club were beaten in the Europa League final.
Aaron Ramsey was the only player to miss in a dramatic penalty shoot-out in Seville, as Eintracht Frankfurt lifted the trophy following a 1-1 draw.
And the Gers fans' heartbreak has proven ripe for revelry from opposing supporters, as shown by the social media output of the company today.
Responding to a message from Scottish author Scott Alcroft with a photo of Frankfurt players, complete with Europa League trophy, wheeling luggage apparently into an airport, asking how much it would cost to carry it on a flight, the budget airline wrote on their official Twitter page: "Trophy free, we'll charge for Rangers tears instead."

Light Blues fans will probably be used to mockery at their misfortunes from rival clubs' supporters but will be worn out if they are getting it in the neck from companies' social media teams as well.
Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary has always made quite plain his outlook towards making the basic flights as cheap as possible by charging for absolutely anything extra.
So the idea of him charging for tears is not entirely beyond the realms of possibility, although any unfortunate supporters on their way home from Spain with the carrier will hope not to find out.
It was a demoralising end to a special journey through the knockout stages on Wednesday night (18 May), and when Joe Aribo put the Bears ahead it looked like it might actually be on.
Ryan Kent was then so close to winning it at the death in extra-time but was denied by a point-blank stop from Kevin Trapp.
At that point it may have been clear that it wasn't to be Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his side's night.
And while Ryanair, Chris Sutton, and any number of others will be enjoying the misery that comes from the pain of coming so close, it won't be forgotten in a hurry the achievement of getting there after some of the victories on the way.
