Ryan Naderi finalising paperwork as update emerges on big career call away from Rangers

Rangers striker Ryan Naderi has decided to represent Czechia at international level.

The German-born striker could play for Germany, Bulgaria or Czechia, and he has made a decision on his international future.

Eligible to play for Santi Denia's team through his mother, the 23-year-old striker is in line to get his first national team call-up.

Naderi has a German passport but is in contention to represent his mother's homeland.

The former Hansa Rostock attacker has been in fine form under Derek McInnes this season and it isn't surprising to see him finally gain recognition on an international stage.

While Naderi has decided to represent Czechia, he must secure a passport to ensure he can accept the call-up.

According to The Rangers Review on 14 September, the striker is working through paperwork as he gets set to take his first steps in international football.

With the squads set to be announced soon, it remains to be seen whether the German-born attacker can complete the formalities in time.

Naderi was instrumental at Ibrox as the Govan side beat Celtic 3-0 in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final.

The forward has shown a lot of potential at the Glaswegian outfit and he can certainly be an asset for Czechia in the coming future.

Naderi and Kevin Kelsy are starting to form a fruitful partnership at Rangers.

With the former Hansa Rostock striker providing the energy and determination up front, and the Venezuela international's clinical touch, McInnes may have an exciting duo at his disposal.

Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti are long-term absentees for the Gers, increasing Naderi and Kelsy's importance.

There's no guarantee the Scottish striker and former Everton prospect will win their place back in the starting lineup once they return.
