Ross County fans denied Ibrox access for Rangers clash

Rangers v Ross County on Sunday is set to go ahead without away fans after the visitors denied their supporters access to the game, per the Scottish Sun.

They were supposed to get 900 tickets allocated for their supporters, but have had their allocation withdrawn.

The Highlanders wanted the dugout area cleared to avoid coming in contact with home fans in the West Enclosure.

This development will now see the Gers having to rehouse a number of their season-ticket holders as they will need to fill in the spots that would normally be occupied by travelling fans.

Advantage Gers

As hosts, Steven Gerrard's men were already favourites to win this clash and have now been handed a further advantage.

Away fans play a great role to buoy their sides on, especially when the chips are down.

Ross County would be needed all the help they get to cause one of the biggest upsets of the season, but will not have their fans cheering them on.

We find it strange that they requested for this red zone behind the dugout, as it's not something other clubs have done.

There are certain protocols in place, and making demands like these are not likely to hold well with the league officials.

It's always nice to have both sides represented during football matches, but this will be an entire Gers supporting Ibrox and that's something we will be complaining about.
