Police Scotland are investigating a second incident already after Rangers beat Celtic 3-0 at Ibrox, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper reported on its website that Brendan Rodgers was also targeted by an object from the crowd as the Light Blues smashed his side.

Arne Engles went down after a coin hit his head during the game on 2 January, but the Hoops boss also came under attack.

The Police are now believed to be looking at those two separate incidents after the scenes at Ibrox.

Rangers fans should be ashamed after Celtic incident

The Gers supporters who threw the coins at the Celtic contingent should be ashamed of themselves.

Philippe Clement finally won his first Old Firm derby after seven attempts, but the scenes at Ibrox have marred it.

The Belgian manager was seemingly on the brink of being sacked after the underwhelming results against St Mirren and Motherwell.

Rangers have once again shown that they can compete with the best teams, although winning the Scottish Premiership title seems unlikely at this stage.

The Light Blues are still 11 points behind the Hoops after putting in some poor performances for most of the season.

Clement will be delighted with the recent upturn in form, though, as the Bears still have the Europa League and Scottish Cup to play for.

The Glaswegian outfit can't continue with their inconsistent displays and need to find stability.

While the Ibrox faithful will be lenient towards the 50-year-old head coach right now, a regression in form in the upcoming fixtures will once again raise questions about his future.
