Rangers v Celtic: BBC pundit slams James Tavernier in Old Firm derby
Stuart McCall has slammed James Tavernier for the concession of the first goal in the Rangers v Celtic clash at Ibrox on 7 April.
Daizen Maeda opened the scoring for the visitors in the first minute of the contest and Tavernier was slow to get to him and ended up allowing him to score.
He did go on and score a penalty at the other end with the game ending 3-3, but his defensive contribution was rightly criticised.
McCall told BBC Sportsound at 12:05: "It's a complete freak. Tavernier should have reacted earlier, but he never. A fantastic start for Celtic."
Tavernier must do better for Rangers
