Rangers striker Bojan Miovski involved as North Macedonia media react to 'disastrous' loss vs Scotland
Rangers forward Bojan Miovski played the full 90 minutes as North Macedonia lost to Scotland on Saturday.
The 27-year-old played as the lone striker for Goce Sedloski's team at Tose Proeski Arena on 3 October, as the visitors won 2-0.
Kieron Bowie opened the scoring early for Sebastien Pocognoli's side and John McGinn scored from the spot after a lengthy VAR check deemed the Gers attacker to have handled the ball.
Miovski had another evening to forget as North Macedonia have now lost five consecutive competitive games.
The former Aberdeen and Girona striker can't seem to catch a break as he struggles for minutes at Ibrox.
Back in North Macedonia, there's clearly rage among the supporters as their team have shown a lack of quality for several months now.
What North Macedonia media is now saying after loss vs Scotland
Miovski hasn't been North Macedonia's first choice recently, and he didn't do much to convince Sedloski that he should be starting.
After the 2-0 defeat, Ekipa shared disappointment at the result, calling the performance "pale".
The news outlet went on to say that North Macedonia "played disastrously" in the first half, leading to a double change from them at around the half-hour mark.
Republika described the game as "worrying", with Sedloski's team accused of playing without ideas.
Scotland "strolled through" North Macedonia away from home as Pocognoli got his first win since replacing Steve Clarke.
Bojan Miovski game in numbers vs Scotland
Miovski hasn't done much to give Derek McInnes food for thought at Rangers regarding his forward line.
In the striker's 90 minutes on the pitch against Scotland, he recorded an xG of 0.08, with none of his two shots on target, as per Sofascore.
The centre-forward wasn't able to get involved in the game much, recording 22 touches, but when he did, he was certainly wasteful, losing possession seven times and failing to succeed in either of his two dribble attempts.
When it came to aerial duels, Miovski lost all four he was involved in.
McInnes has counted on Kevin Kelsy and Ryan Naderi as his preferred attacking duo amid Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti's absence, and that doesn't look likely to change anytime soon.
