Rangers player ratings vs Jablonec - James Penrice sensational, Cammy Devlin should be ashamed
Rangers secured back-to-back wins after beating Jablonec 1-0 in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
The Gers needed a strong result in the opening leg against the Czech side on Thursday night with their European hopes hanging in the balance.
Derek McInnes had finally got a first win over the line against St Mirren at the weekend and the first half left many wondering was that merely just a one-off.
But the Bears did come out flying in the second 45, with Ryan Naderi poking home the opening goal for Rangers, who saw Cammy Devlin sent off.
Now, heading into next week, Rangers will travel with the advantage, although it is slimmer than they would have liked.
James Penrice making Tuur Rommens' life harder upon return
James Penrice has come into this Rangers side and has completely shifted the left-back pecking order.
Tuur Rommens last season looked like one of the Gers' best players and this campaign it was expected for him to do the same.
However, Penrice, in just two starts, has already shown plenty reason why he should continue on that left-flank.
His energy and determination is exactly what the Bears have been lacking, and that was on show once more against Jablonec, with him proving to be a threat down the wing.
When Rommens returns from injury, it is not a guarantee he will return to the starting line-up.
It is certainly not a terrible problem to have.
Cammy Devlin does not help himself at Rangers
Devlin has not had the impact he would have hoped for at Rangers and his woes were only furthered against Jablonec.
The midfielder was only on the pitch for four minutes after being brought on in the 69th before the referee deemed his cameo to be over.
Following a VAR review, the former Hearts man was sent out for a poorly timed and high challenge.
In truth, it was the right decision. However, with his stock among supporters already low, that certainly won't help his case.
It turned out to be an utterly pointless and terrible change from McInnes, although not his fault.
