Stevie Clifford, host of the Four Lads Had A Dream podcast, has questioned Philippe Clement's decision-making after Rangers fell to a 3-2 loss at Ross County.

Clifford questioned the team selections and number of early substitutes they have had to make, claiming the boss has "real issues" at centre-back and midfield which haven't been addressed.

He questioned whether he has the foresight to make big decisions in the team, stating we will find out soon amid heavy criticism of the manager.

Speaking to The Rangers Review [16 April], Clifford explained: "I've got problems with the teams that Clement has selected, I don't think he's getting it right. The amount of early subs we're having to make is really concerning to me.

"It's whether or not he has the foresight to make the really big decisions, we're going to find out because he's got real issues. Real issues in the centre of defence and real issues in midfield.

"Is he prepared to fix it? We'll find out, but I thought we were disgraceful on Sunday."

Philippe Clement facing pressure at Rangers

Up until now, Clement has received nothing but praise for the work he has done at Ibrox since taking over from Michael Beale earlier this season, closing the gap to Celtic and securing silverware in the Scottish League Cup.

However, with the title challenge starting to derail after a 3-3 draw with Celtic and a 3-2 defeat against Ross County, questions will start to be asked about the organisation and leadership of the team having conceded six goals in two games.

Criticism has long been levelled at the defenders at Ibrox, with Clifford previously slating the likes of John Souttar and Connor Goldson while Chris Jack suggested several fringe players could be sold this summer, but perhaps some blame lies with Clement.

Rangers
Philippe Clement and his players await confirmation that their game at Dundee will go ahead.

As Clifford says, the boss will have to prove he can make big calls when needed as Rangers prepare to face Dundee at Dens Park in what has all of a sudden become a must-win fixture in the title race.
