Rangers midfielder Charlie McCann could reportedly be announced as a Forest Green Rovers player on Tuesday, 24 January.

According to Gloucestershire Live [24 January], the EFL club could make the deal official before they take on Bolton Wanderers.

He is said to be penning a "lucrative" contract as he's set to seal his Ibrox exit in order to get more game time.

Farewell

The 20-year-old's said to have already completed his medical at Forest Green Rovers and all that's left is for either side to make an official announcement.

His move to Ibrox from Manchester United does not seem to have panned out as many thought it would and he seems to be short on patience.

He wants game time and he's not going to get that regularly at Rangers which is perhaps why he snubbed a new contract and taking a few steps down to play regularly.

Rangers

He is a talented young player and does have a bright future and high ceiling - something which has been evident since he signed from United.

However, Rangers did not make a profit from his sale and that's something that Ross Wilson will be unhappy about as this is one of his main roles.

They brought him in for £750,000 but is only being sold for £350,000 - which will not be a good look on the balance sheets, especially given how the club aim to be self-sufficient.
