Rangers injury latest vs Jagiellonia Bialystok as eight players potentially ruled out

Rangers and Jagiellonia Bialystok could have several players missing when they face off on Thursday.

The Gers travel to Poland for the first leg of their Europa League third-qualifying round on 6 August.

Derek McInnes will be looking for his side to bounce back from the 1-1 draw with Dundee United last time out.

However, the Ibrox boss will be without some key stars when his team head to the Chorten Arena.

The Bears already know their opponents for the next round will be either Georgia's Iberia 1999 or Northern Ireland's Larne.

However, they need to get past the Ekstraklasa side, if they are to face either of them, and they will not at full strength.

What is Rangers' absentee list for Jagiellonia Bialystok contest?

Ben Godfrey is the most serious absentee for the visitors, as he has been a staple of the side in pre-season alongside Emmanuel Fernandez.

He went off injured against the Tangerines and the extent of his issue is yet to be confirmed.

McInnes has already confirmed that Nicolas Raskin is not expected to be available for the opening weeks after his World Cup exploits, so he will not feature.

Jose Cifuentes is the final confirmed absentee as he underwent surgery recently and will out of action for a considerable period.

Olwethu Makhanya is also expected to miss out as there has been no update on his visa issue.

Connor Barron might also not make the trip as he is still recovering from injury, and the manager confirmed that he was a "little behind" after the Tannadice clash.

Who could be missing for Jagiellonia?

Jagiellonia have a few potential absentees, but they are mostly healthy coming into the clash.

Centre-back Dusan Stojinovic missed the 2-1 win over Motor Lublin, as he is rebuilding his match fitness.

Midfielder Leon Flach is also still recovering from injury, and also missed the last league clash.

Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Aziel Jackson did not return to the club to take part in pre-season, and will not feature.

That takes the potential absentees to eight, with five for the Bears and three for the hosts.

There have no further updates from the Polish club, so it is likely that they haven't picked up any further problems.
