Rangers will have to pay a fee in the region of 4.3million if they are to secure the services of FCSB midfielder Darius Olaru in the summer transfer window.

In an interview with Orange Sport [3 June], who speak about the Ibrox club's interest, Mihai Stoica, the FCSB president, has clearly mentioned the midfielder's release clause.

In order for Rangers, or any other club to open talks with the 25-year-old Romanian, they've first got to meet the club's demands.

He said, "Darius Olaru and Florinel Coman, have a termination clause of five million euros. If someone wants to pay 4,990,000 euros, they will not have the players. Whoever pays the clause, can talk with the players."

Not needed

ProSport claimed(12 February) that it would be a "spectacular" addition if Gers were to convince the 25-year-old to join in the summer.

However, they've already signed Kiera Dowell for a significantly cheaper amount and will be looking to do more deals in that price range.

The Romanian seems decent but he's not proven himself in a competitive league yet and this represents a gamble if Gers end up pursuing his services.

Rangers

Having not moved out of his comfort zone, there is every chance that he struggles to adapt in the United Kingdom and the step up to a big club may not be ideal for him.

He is the big fish in a small pond at FCSB and Michael Beale does not like such players as he wants every player to be a part of a whole.

While his asking rate is not beyond the top, it's certainly quite high and Gers will be looking to make other additions before pursuing a midfielder.
