Rangers have massively rattled Martin O'Neill, Celtic are on the ropes
If you'd have told anybody that one month ago, they'd have laughed in your face.
Derek McInnes got off to the worst possible start at Ibrox, crashing out of Europe completely and not winning his first two Scottish Premiership games.
Now, he's coming off the back of a 3-0 demolition of Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup at Ibrox.
Wildly, Rangers and their rivals will do it all again on Sunday, this time at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership.
Looking at early evidence, Martin O'Neill could not have hoped for anything worse.
O'Neill frosty ahead of next Old Firm
Rangers have a full week's rest in them for this one, while Celtic were in Europa League action on Thursday.
It didn't start great either, going 1-0 down early against Ferencvaros at home.
Before the game, O'Neill was questioned on his team selection, with four changes from Ibrox, and his response shows just how rattled he was.
"No, I'll not talk to you on the thinking around that one," he said, when asked about a goalkeeper change on TNT Sports.
"Believe it or not, my job is not actually to explain every single situation to you."
Forget just how condescending he was to the reporter, it shows just how much Celtic could actually be on the ropes.
Derek McInnes will be loving this
It shows that O'Neill and Celtic are feeling the pressure.
Despite being five points ahead in the Scottish Premiership, they clearly believe it will be down to two once this Old Firm is over on Sunday.
Sam Johnstone had an absolute nightmare at Ibrox in goal, with Kevin Kelsy and Dan Neil putting him to the sword.
Fans in green have been demanding answers eversince, and O'Neill is biting back, this is everything that Rangers want.
They are on the ropes, and fighting amongst themselves.
With no away support, this won't be easy for Rangers, no matter what is happening behind the scenes at Celtic.
An Old Firm is the perfect game to either rub salt into the wound, or fight back dramatically, and the Gers have to make sure it's the first.
It'll be another huge fight, regardless of them being on the ropes, and it's about those boys in blue making sure they stamp their authority early and making it even worse.
