Rangers are not the chaos club in Glasgow anymore, Celtic have well and truly snatched that title in recent days.

Brendan Rodgers resigned from his role as Celtic manager, and then owner Dermot Desmond released a wild statement.

Desmond accused the Northern Irishman of being a liar and claimed that Rodgers oversaw a toxic environment at the Parkhead club.

Ibrox supporters have been revelling as the scenes unfolded, and they will be ecstatic after the latest from their arch-rivals' search for a new boss.

Ange Postecoglou does not want Celtic return

Martin O'Neill will be in temporary charge of Celtic when they face Rangers, but they are looking for a long-term replacement for Rodgers.

Ange Postecoglou has been touted for a potential return to the Hoops, but that possibility has essentially been ruled out by Alex Crook.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 29 October, he said: “The message I got was unlikely, that Ange Postecoglou would return to Celtic Park…

“With Ange Postecoglou, it would not surprise me if his next job was in international management, maybe even in charge of the Greek national team, because they haven’t had the best World Cup qualifying campaign…

“He is certainly someone that Dermot Desmond and the hierarchy would want to talk to, as I say, that is being played down to me.”

Rangers supporters will love Postecoglou latest

The Australian terrorised the Gers in his time in Scotland, with two Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish League Cups and a Scottish Cup.

He also boasted a solid record in fixtures against the Gers when he was in Glasgow, with six wins, three losses and two draws.

  • Postecoglou took Scottish football by storm when he arrived
  • He managed 113 matches, only losing 18 times while in charge of Celtic
  • He won five trophies across two seasons in Scotland

However, Crook's update suggests that he has little interest in a reunion, which will be music to the ears of the Light Blues fanbase.

They will surely love the latest emerging on Celtic's hunt for a new manager, as Postecoglou was a very difficult adversary and would likely turn the club around and make them a dominant force again.

The longer the chaos across Glasgow continues, the better for the Gers, who will hope to establish stability under Danny Rohl, after their own rough patch recently.

The 60-year-old would have been many Celtic fans' first choice for the role, but it seems that they are going to be disappointed, to the delight of the Bears supporters.
