Rangers fans will have to wait further for their next manager to arrive at Ibrox.

Kevin Muscat will not be next at Ibrox as Rangers' managerial search goes on to a third week, with plenty of negativity around Govan.

The news comes just shortly after Steven Gerrard's Rangers return collapsed, too, as many are starting to blame the hierarchy.

Danny Rohl is back in for the Rangers job, but Gers fans are starting to lose faith in the Bears appointing someone any time soon.

Broadcaster David Tannner has weighed in on the situation, sending a demand to Ibrox executives.

David Tanner holds Rangers chiefs accountable for mounting failures

The Rangers board has come under fire in recent times, but they are not doing themselves any favours with the emerging pattern seen in the recent managerial search.

Andrew Cavenagh has held several talks already, but it appears that Patrick Stewart and Kevin Thelwell are to blame for Muscat and others not coming to Ibrox.

Writing on X, Tanner said: "Kevin Muscat is not to be the new Rangers manager. Some people have a great deal of explaining to do to their American paymasters.

"It would not be unfair or over the top to describe the club’s execs as being in a state of total chaos."

  • Stewart is Rangers' Chief Executive Officer
  • Thelwell is Rangers' Sporting Director
  • Cavenagh and the 49ers are the American figures at the club

Rangers are said to be heavily interested in bringing Rohl to the club, but just like the other candidates, there is a big chance that the deal will fall through at the final stages.

Either way, this chaos is not helping anybody right now.

Rangers fans will be in for more disappointment with Danny Rohl

Rohl has suffered under poor leadership at Sheffield Wednesday with Dejphon Chansiri, and there is no way he will settle for another club that has clear issues upstairs.

It seems like every candidate that gets to the final stage with Rangers at the moment ends up getting scared off the idea of joining the Ibrox club for one reason or another.

If Rohl progresses to advanced talks with Rangers, and the same scenario occurs, serious questions need to be asked of those in suits upstairs.
