Rangers’ pursuit of Galymzhan Kenzhebek may suggest that the Gers are already preparing for Oliver Antman’s departure.

The Finnish international only joined Ibrox in the summer, but has already been linked away.

Antman recently expressed his desire to play in La Liga one day, with the winger being one of the Gers’ few summer signings who has found some type of success to date.

Now, with rumours circulating that Rangers want Galymzhan Kenzhebek, Danny Rohl may be preparing for Antman’s departure.

Rangers may be willing to let go of Oliver Antman

In recent weeks, Antman has been used sparingly since Rohl arrived.

The winger has struggled to pick up goal contributions, only registering one assist in the Scottish Premiership, and has not been able to score in any competition for the Gers.

As a result, Rohl has preferred other options, with the 24-year-old now regularly featuring on the bench.

  • Antman was signed from Go Ahead Eagles in the summer
  • The winger had a fantastic Rangers debut, collecting two assists against Viktoria Plzen
  • However, since then Antman has struggled

While Antman has found his goalscoring form for Finland, it remains to be seen if this tempts the manager to give him a run in the side.

Now, given the recent rumours regarding Kenzhebek, Rangers may look to replace Antman with the Kazakhstani, with the target having no issues finding the net in his home country.

As a result, the Finnish international may then depart Ibrox, especially with his future already in question.

Can Galymzhan Kenzhebek be a hit at Rangers?

The question for many Rangers fans will be, can Kenzhebek solve the Gers’ problems on the wing?

According to Sofascore on 20 November, the attacker has been fantastic up top for both club and country this season.

His shots and successful dribbles per game are excellent, with Kenzhebek also having 13 goal contributions to date.

Therefore, based on this, there is no reason why he can’t have an instant impact at Ibrox if the transfer does come to fruition.
