Philippe Clement has been left with no choice but to drop Jefte as Rangers take on St Mirren on Boxing Day.

The Brazilian left-back started in the 1-0 victory over Dundee on 21 December but it wasn't the best of performances.

With Ridvan Yilmaz needing regular minutes, he should be given the chance to start and the clash on 26 December at Paisley seems to be ideal for him.

Against Dundee, per Sofascore, Jefte lost possession of the ball a colossal 17 times - something that would not have pleased Clement.

He also lost six out of his attempted nine ground duels, showcasing an inability to be dominant out of possession as well.

The 21-year-old also lost half of his aerial duels and that's a sign he wasn't dominant in the air either, making him a defensive liability.

He was also not overly impressive with his crossing and could complete just one of his four long passes.

For a side that dominates possession and gets their full-backs into attacking positions, Jefte clearly isn't doing a very good job.

He struggled in the Scottish League Cup final against Celtic as well and it's a sign that Clement needs to drop him.
