Official Rangers partner shares if John Eustace is now in race to become new manager as news emerges in last 24 hours

Heart and Hand have confirmed that now former Birmingham City manager John Eustace is not in the race for the vacant managerial role at Rangers.

The official Ibrox partners, taking to their Twitter account (9 October) replied in response to reports that the 43-year-old could be in line for talks with Rangers after his sacking from St Andrew's on Monday (BCFC website, 9 October).

Eustace had been linked with the move north of the border while speculation continued over Michael Beale’s future [Mirror, 7 September], but it's now been confirmed that he is not being considered.

Unlucky

For the manager to have saved Birmingham from what seemed like certain relegation last year, and in the end, they survived quite comfortably by a nine-point gap over the relegation zone, to having them in sixth place at the time of his dismissal, is a brilliant achievement.

Eustace has certainly been unfairly treated at St Andrew's after this latest development and he certainly won't be short of potential suitors very quickly.

In fact, the Gers have a clear run at his signature given the tremendous work he's done previously and the recent links with his name

According to The Sun on 8 October, face-to-face talks with managerial candidates were set to begin in London this week, with Kevin Muscat, Scott Parker, Phillipe Clement and Pascal Jansen on the shortlist of names to replace Michael Beale.

However, now it's been confirmed Eustace isn't amongst that prestigious list for which he can certainly count himself unlucky not to be a part of.
