Rangers have reportedly not yet made an approach to secure the services of Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah in the January window.

According to Football Scotland [9 June], despite not being picked to play by manager Marco Silva, he has been training with the first team at Craven Cottage.

It's understood that the London outfit have the option to extend his contract by a year should they feel the need to do that.

Worth considering?

Rangers must really ask themselves if they want to make a move for a player who's on the fringes at a club recently promoted from the second tier.

Onomah featured last season which saw them winning the Championship but has not in their top-flight campaign which may bring about doubts over his capabilities.

The Toffees have been linked with Everton midfielder Tom Davies and we see him as a much better option than the Fulham outcast.

Rangers

He has played just 14 minutes of senior football this season and he may not be exactly what Rangers need to upgrade on their starting eleven.

We're delighted that they've not yet made an approach as that would suggest that they're solidifying their interest in securing his services.

Hopefully, Michael Beale and Ross Wilson have other options lined up and they make moves for them in the coming days as it's imperative the club brings in fresh faces through the door.
