Rangers want to include an obligation to buy in the deal as Rizespor are keen on signing Jose Cifuentes, according to Heart and Hand.

They are claiming that the £2million offer from the Turkish side has been accepted by the Ibrox club but that's a loan with merely an option to buy.

While Gers have left the decision to the Ecuadorian, they want the money guaranteed at the end of his loan spell in terms of an obligation.

Makes much more sense

An option would give the Turkish side a chance to get out of the deal as a multi-million fee is quite a bit for them.

Gers are looking to make a profit on Cifuentes even though he only joined them in the summer.

Should he move to Turkey and not do well there, it's only going to reduce his transfer valuation and the little interest that's now been shown in him will probably not be six months down the line.

Given the acquisitions and Philippe Clement's stance on him, he is unlikely to suddenly become a first-team regular at Ibrox next season.

It is ideal for everyone that he part ways with the club for good and Gers get the £2million which they can then look to spend in January.

Rangers

There are reports about a new striker with Lawrence Shankland being the talk of the town so the transfer fee raked from Cifuentes' sale will form a significant chunk of what will be needed to sign Shankland or someone of that calibre.
