Kevin Kelsy displayed his class for Rangers against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The Venezuela international got on the scoresheet in the 3-1 win over Neil McCann's team in the Scottish Premiership on 10 October.

Ryan Naderi's brace before the break put the Gers three goals up, but the hosts couldn't build on it in the second half, and Nicky Clescenco's strike in the 90th minute denied Ivor Pandur his clean sheet.

Kelsy has formed an impressive partnership with the Czechia international at Ibrox, with both strikers complementing each other's attributes.

Derek McInnes has tasked Naderi with closing down the opposition defence and pressing from the front.

The Venezuelan ace might not have the former Hansa Rostock star's running power, but he brings other important attributes to the table.

Kevin Kelsy catches eye with Rangers moment vs Kilmarnock

Naderi will take the plaudits after the win against Kilmarnock, but his strike partner also made an impression.

The Gers had several incredible performers in the win at Ibrox, but the ex-Portland Timbers forward caught the eye with his physicality.

Peter Lovenkrands was in awe of how good Kelsy's hold-up play was during one of the Gonva side's defensive phases around the hour mark.

Kilmarnock came forward on the counter, but the ball was subsequently cleared by Olwethu Makhanya and the Glaswegian outfit's striker got in front of his man and ensured the hosts kept possession.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound on 10 October, Lovenkrands said, "He's so strong. You look at him, he's an absolute beast out there. He also reacts quicker than the defender does.

"The defender is actually in front of him. He reacts quicker. He gets down and gets his body in front. They can't get it off him because he's strong. And he lays it off."

Why Derek McInnes will be fuming despite Ibrox win

McCann set his team up like Rangers and gave McInnes several problems to deal with.

While the Gers had their opportunities up front, it became an end-to-end game at times, which isn't something the ex-Hearts boss would've wanted.

Had Killie been clinical enough, they could've taken a point off of the Light Blues.

Nonetheless, the Glaswegian outfit managed to fend off Kilmarnock's attack for the most part, but left themselves completely open at the end of the game.

Killie had a two-on-one in the 90th minute as Kosta Nedeljkovic and Pandur were left isolated by the rest of their teammates.

There was no reason for the Govan side to be in that situation when they were three goals in front and McInnes will surely have a few choice words for some of his players in the dressing room.
