Keith Jackson expects Rangers to win their Europa League game against FCSB on Thursday 24 October.

The Romanian side will travel to Ibrox Stadium to take on Philippe Clement's team after their 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on 20 October.

Shared in the print edition of the Daily Record [21 October, pg 38] Jackson has backed them to beat a Romanian side who have hinted at playing a weakened side already.

"They should do," he wrote. "A home tie against the Romanians looked like a winnable fixture, even before Steaua started talking about bringing their reserves to Ibrox.

"Three points is a must if Rangers plan on making the play-offs."

Rangers must beat FCSB in Europa League

On paper, FCSB shouldn't be a tough challenge for Rangers, with the Romanian outfit fifth in their league table at the moment.

However, as seen against Kilmarnock, the Gers can't take any team lightly, and it will be interesting to see any changes Clement may make after the disappointing loss.

While the Bucharest-based club may field some of their reserves, it is likely that the Bears may also ring the changes at Ibrox.

After the Europa League tie, Rangers are set to host St Mirren, followed by a blockbuster tie against Aberdeen, giving Clement's team a chance to reduce the gap at the top of the table.

However, the European competition might be as important as the league at Ibrox, and it'll be interesting to see how the Gers will set up against FCSB.
