Graeme Murty has urged Giovanni van Bronckhorst to field his strongest Rangers side for the clash against Celtic.

Gers have a better chance of winning the Europa League than the SPFL, albeit a 1-0 deficit going into the second leg of the tie against Leipzig.

However, a win against their local rivals, brings the gap down to three points and puts the pressure back on Celtic.

Speaking on BBC's Off the Ball, "I think he will try to mirror exactly what he did in the last game.

"When they got beat they were a bit passive, and they allowed Celtic to sort their formation out and their patterns out. They dictated the tempo, and I think Rangers have to try and dictate the tempo.

"Even though it'll be hard because of their exertions, I think he needs to go full strength. Personally, I think that is what he will do.

"As much as you do it to manage the legs, positivity can really lift you up.

"If they are gone and do really well, it takes you into a packed house at Ibrox and they will fancy their chances of turning it around from 1-0 down."

Full strength

Van Bronckhorst needs to go full strength for this one and take it one game at a time.

Going into the second leg, the players will be on a high if they manage to beat Celtic.

They surely will be exhausted but the positivity could carry them over the line.

The Dutchman is a veteran and knows how the squad dynamics work ahead of games like this.

He's got to set up perfectly to thwart the Celtic attack as they've proven to be ruthless on their day.

Another Ibrox defeat is not an option and he must drill that into the heads of each and every player in the dressing room.
