Rangers started their Europa League campaign with a 1-0 loss to Genk at Ibrox.

Oh Hyeon-gyu scored the only goal of the match as ten-man Rangers slumped to their fifth defeat of the season.

The former Celtic man whipped his shirt and emphatically celebrated his goal on enemy territory, much to the annoyance of Gers fans.

Pressure continues to mount for Martin and fans are calling for him to be sacked as Rangers have suffered their worst start to a domestic season in 47 years.

Oh had an eventful night at Ibrox, scoring one, missing from the penalty spot, and wasting several good opportunities.

Whilst his performance was certainly far from elite, the striker provided a constant threat throughout the match.

Oh's stats vs Rangers

Oh has walked away from Ibrox as the hero, and has provided a perfect example of what Youssef Chermiti should be doing for Rangers.

Oh Hyeon-gyu shows Rangers fans what they should expect from Youssef Chermiti

Chermiti's £8m move from Everton raised eyebrows, with the Portuguese striker failing to score for the Toffees in two years at the club.

Oh's performance was clearly flawed, yet his desire to make runs into the box proved to be a constant nuisance for the Rangers defence

Chermiti is currently the second fiddle to Bojan Miovski, and his chances in the starting lineup won't come too frequently, so he needs to seize every opportunity he can.

Diomande's dismissal did make his job a lot tougher in the second half, and Chermiti's hold-up play was strong at times, yet what the Light Blues need is a clinical goalscorer who can replace the likes of Cyriel Dessers and Hamza Igamane.

Chermiti has a long way to go if he wants to prove that he was worth the staggering money that Rangers forked out to buy him.
