Derek McInnes told scenario that could bring 'intolerable' levels of pressure at Rangers
Derek McInnes has found a bit of momentum at Rangers after a brutal start to life at Ibrox.
The Gers have backed McInnes heavily with 14 new signings during a summer of upheaval in Govan.
But things on the pitch started in inauspicious circumstances for McInnes, who was brought in from Hearts after Danny Rohl's hasty exit.
Embarassing defeats in qualifying for the Europa League and Conference League meant that there was no way to recoup some cash in contintental football this season.
But Saturday's 1-0 win over Motherwell means McInnes has now earned three single-goal victories on the spin in the Scottish Premiership to provide some encouragement of a turnaround.
However, he has been warned that he could soon be under the microscope more than ever before at Rangers.

McInnes grew up a Rangers supporter, so knows only too well the demands from the brilliant fan base at Ibrox.
Success is not a request, it is mandatory, which is why only a few months into his tenure there have been big question marks.
Three wins on the spin has certainly helped, but there has not been much conviction in the wins so far.
The first of those takes place at Ibrox next Sunday in the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup, before a trip to enemy territory the following week in the Scottish Premiership.
Daily Record journalist Hugh Keevins sounded a warning to McInnes before that double header.

Keevins' article in the Daily Record on Sunday was addressing conspiracy theorist who suggested a touchline ban for McInnes was reduced so he could be back on the touchline for the derbies.
He is right that that is utter nonsense of course, and Keevins general warning that McInnes could see the two suspended matches imposed if he cannot hold his tongue following the Celtic games is fair.
Amid that was a more stark reminder that defeat in those matches will see McInnes face a pressure from the Rangers fans he will not have experienced before.
Keevins wrote: "Two defeats against Celtic and the pressure on McInnes would reach an almost intolerable level for a man fighting to establish his credentials for the managerial position he holds.
"Try being word perfect, and minding your manners, in those circumstances.
"There was obviously a lot that McInnes wanted to say on the final day of last season when a field invasion at Celtic Park added to the hurt of Hearts losing the league title."
We might still be very early in the McInnes tenure, but given the struggles he has already had, defeat in both games and it really will be tough to recover from.
