Derek McInnes reveals four new Rangers injury issues after win vs Celtic
Ryan Naderi's first-half strike was the difference between the sides on a tense afternoon at Parkhead.
Derek McInnes' side were the better team and ultimately held on to take all three points and close the gap in the Scottish Premiership.
It was their second win over their arch rivals within a week, as they also beat them 3-0 at Ibrox in the Scottish League Cup.
However, it was not all sunshine and rainbows for the Light Blues after a new admission from McInnes.
The Gers have several new injury concerns after the Old Firm victory, the boss has now revealed.
Who picked up injuries in Rangers' win over Celtic?
McInnes has revealed that four players picked up issues in the contest.
The former Hearts manager singled out Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin, Dujon Sterling and James Penrice as the players who suffered problems.
In quotes reported by the Rangers Review on Sunday, he said: “James Penrice felt his ankle, Dan Neil felt his calf and Cammy Devlin actually does his hamstring in the last five minutes of the game when we’d used all our subs.
"Dujon Sterling was also feeling his hamstring a wee bit."
While it will be a worry for Gers supporters, it may not be that much of an issue due to a quirk in the calendar this season.
Why injuries may not be as bad as usual for Rangers
Rangers now have no games until 10 October when they face Kilmarnock in the league, due to the international break.
That is a result of most international teams having four games in the national window, as a result of the UEFA Nations League.
That means that there is plenty of time for the afflicted players to recover and be ready to play again.
They have not found out the extent of the issues yet, and some of the players could still be out by then.
However, it means that they will definitely miss less games than they would have, if the international break was not extended.
Everything seems to be going right for the Bears right now, let's hope it continues with the injury luck in the next few weeks, and they can increase the hurt on the Hoops.
Penrice and Neil have especially proven their worth in the two victories over Celtic, but Devlin and Sterling are also making progress under McInnes at the moment.
