Danny Rohl grateful to Andrew Cavenagh as Rangers transfer plans already in full swing
Danny Rohl is already looking to shape his Rangers squad for 2026-27, while praising chairman Andrew Cavenagh for greenlighting their mid-season training camp.
Rohl said at his press conference on Friday that he is grateful to have met with Cavenagh and discuss plans for the future during a Spanish getaway with the squad.
Rangers had a free weekend without a game after being knocked out of the Scottish Cup by rivals Celtic in March, so they opted to head south to recharge their batteries ahead of the post-split fixtures.
The Gers, who sit second in the Scottish Premiership behind leaders Hearts, return to action on Sunday at home to Motherwell.
And while the team's attention is firmly on lifting the SPFL title, Rangers' transfer strategy is already being fine-tuned before a big summer.

Reports suggest this Spain camp is a chance for the Rangers squad to bond, in addition to doing important tactical work on the pitch.
Rangers are also said to have used this week to accelerate plans for the transfer window, before returning their attention to their league run-in.

In addition to Rohl and Cavenagh, other Rangers figureheads are understood to have jetted out to Spain, including Dan Purdy, Stig Inge Byornybe, Jim Gillespie and Fraser Thornton.
And Rohl was quick to dish out praise to Cavenagh for allowing Rangers to take this break.
Whether it will pay dividends against Motherwell and their other upcoming opponents remains to be seen.
But the fact Cavenagh is already discussing summer transfer plans with Rohl suggests the mega-rich chief clearly means business.
What are Rangers' transfer priorities?
Earlier this week, club legend James Tavernier announced he would be leaving Rangers when his contract expires this summer.
The free-scoring defender spent 11 years at Ibrox, winning three trophies along the way, but this season will be his last for the Gers.
As a result, Rangers may need to find a replacement. Centre-back Derek Cornelius is expected to leave, and there is no guarantee that Wolves loanee Nasser Djiga will return next season.
Mikey Moore is on loan from Tottenham but will initially return to the Premier League strugglers this summer, meaning they would need another winger/playmaker. Big decisions lie ahead for the Rangers hierarchy.
