Czech media react to Ryan Naderi call up as Pavel Nedved reveals all on Rangers striker

Rangers striker Ryan Naderi is officially a Czechia international.

There had been talk of this happening for weeks, and legal documentation was finally sorted on Tuesday.

Naderi missed the first two games of the Nations League against Croatia, and the 2-0 defeat to England on Tuesday.

Now, the Rangers star is available against world champions, Spain.

Derek McInnes has unlocked a different version of the striker this season, who has just terrorised and bullied Celtic in consecutive wins.

And Juventus icon Pavel Nedved has taken a real liking to him already.

What have Czechia and Pavel Nedved said about Ryan Naderi?

It's very clear that they're making the Rangers forward feel loved already.

Naderi's mother is from Czechia, and his grandmother lives there, so he has a very close affiliation to the country, albeit being German.

Nedved described the striker as a "very interesting" player who can expand their attack with his towering physique.

Described as "very happy" to acquire him, he confirmed that Naderi will start training with his fellow countrymen on Wednesday.

Czechia media reiterated the joy, with iDNES saying that Naderi "ran until he fainted against Jablonec" earlier in the season.

They describe the forward as someone who can finish in all ways, very calm and a new "hot name" in football at Ibrox.

How Ryan Naderi became Rangers main man

It's been a rollercoaster start to the season for everybody at Ibrox.

McInnes endured a nightmare start, missing out on Europe completely, but that was mainly down to not knowing his best system.

Ironically, injuries to Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti have helped Rangers find that.

Naderi is the main striker now, and having Kevin Kelsy alongside him has helped massively too.

In both games against Celtic, the Czechia international dominated their defence with ease, embarrassing the likes of Callum McGregor as well.

He got his deserved goal at Parkhead in the second fixture, and McInnes will be hoping he comes back fit and firing next week.

He's already enjoyed nearly two weeks of recovery from matches, and will be thrown into the deep end against Spain and England again.

Those experiences should only make him better.
