Clinton Nsiala involved in shameful Rangers incident, can forget first-team shot

Clinton Nsiala can surely forget being handed a first-team shot at Rangers anytime soon after his shameful actions for the B team.

The summer signing was involved for the Gers in their SPFL Trust Trophy clash with Queen's Park at The City Stadium on Tuesday (3 December).

The contest was supposed to provide the centre-back with a chance to catch the eye of Philippe Clement, with many wondering when he will be involved at senior level.

However, Nsiala got himself sent off for an off-the-ball incident with Zak Rudden, as confirmed by Queen's Park's official X account [3 December].

Nsiala was shown a straight red card, meaning it must have been serious, and this act of stupidity will only set his Ibrox career back further.

The 20-year-old has yet to make his bow for Clement in competitive action, the Belgian instead preferring to give him time to adapt with what is effectively the reserves side.

After some questionable displays from some at the back, many wanted to see Nsiala fast-tracked to the senior side this side of the New Year.

If this head loss is anything to go by, though, then he can forget that. The fact the dismissal arrived just 30 minutes into the game makes it even worse.

Gers fans will just hope he can swiftly mature because the club is in need of fresh blood and Nsiala certainly seems to tick plenty of boxes. Let's just hope this was very much a one-off.
