Celtic fans seen mocking Rangers boss Michael Beale after Viaplay Cup final defeat
Celtic fans have snapped back at Rangers boss Michael Beale after the Viaplay Cup final which saw them winning 2-1.
Beale stated previously that it was important to uphold the standards of the club as he allowed Partick Thistle to score an equaliser.
Looking at this as an opportunity, the Celtic fans came prepared with a banner which they displayed after beating Rangers on Sunday.
Via Twitter, the Daily Record shared an image of the banner which read, "22 trophies in 11 years. We set the standards."
Disappointing
The performance from Rangers opened them up to mockery from the Celtic fans and we cannot blame them for it.
Beale made some questionable calls with his team selection and Gers managed to find their way back into the game only after changes were made.
It's maybe down to him showing too much loyalty to certain players that were at the club back when he was the assistant.
The time is now for Beale to be ruthless and tweak his system a bit as they cannot usurp Celtic to the title if they continue playing like this.
Hopefully, this is a wake-up call and Celtic drop points further down the road as they do need favours from elsewhere if they are to win the league.
Beale lost his chance to win his first trophy at the club and he'll be gutted as this one was there for the taking.
