Rangers found themselves in superb form prior to the international break.

The Gers did not make the best start to the campaign, with Derek McInnes' side knocked out of Europe entirely.

A summer upheaval, which saw 14 players arrive, meant Rangers were a little disjointed early in the McInnes era.

But six straight wins in all competitions, including back-to-back Old Firm wins, saw the momentum turning before the pause for international football.

However, while plenty of players have seen their reptuations enhanced in the early stages of the season, the same cannot be said for everyone.

Here, Ibrox News looks at three Rangers players whose stock has decreased in the early stages of the campaign.

John Souttar

John Souttar's situation at Rangers is one of the more bizarre since McInnes' arrival.

Once seen as the most important centre-back on the books at Ibrox, Souttar has been completely ostracised since the Gaffer's arrival.

The 30-year-old has not kicked a ball in anger since McInnes took the reins, and it was a real surprise he didn't leave during the transfer window.

Souttar clearly has no future with McInnes in charge, and it is surely an inevitability he departs in the winter or at the end of the season.

Tuur Rommens

Signed in January during the reign of former boss Danny Rohl, Tuur Rommens made a big impression last season.

It was hoped the Belgian left-back would be a big contributor at Ibrox this season, with a full pre-season behind him.

However, an early season injury saw Rangers move quickly to sign James Penrice on loan from AEK Athens.

Penrice has been excellent in the early stages of his Gers career, and consequently Rommens may now find it extremely difficult to win his spot back when he returns to fitness.

Cammy Devlin

Cammy Devlin joined McInnes and Lawrence Shankland in swapping Hearts for Rangers in the summer.

Signed on a free transfer, the combative midfielder was a real favour of McInnes at Tynecastle.

Initially, Devlin looked like he could be a regular in the Rangers XI, but he has been more of a bit-part player in recent weeks.

The combination of Dan Neil and Nicolas Raskin looks like the one that McInnes will continue to persevere with, and Devlin has a battle on his hand to show he should be a regular Rangers starter.
