Bojan Miovski has struggled since arriving at Rangers.

The striker came to Ibrox last year with a great reputation in Scottish football after impressing in the past with Aberdeen.

The 27-year-old found the net 13 times in 42 matches in his debut season for the Gers, but almost half his goals came in cup competitions.

Miovski rarely starts for the Bears, and while Derek McInnes is happy to have the forward at the club, he still struggles to start games.

The former Girona number nine was called up to North Macedonia's international squad ahead of the break, but has not had luck for his country since linking up with his fellow compatriots.

North Macedonia have lost all four of their opening Nations League matches, as Miovski isn't getting any luck either.

Why Bojan Miovski got Rangers deja vu against Switzerland

North Macedonia were thumped 3-0 against Switzerland on Tuesday, as their long wait for a goal goes on.

The nation has not scored in a whopping eight games, and Miovski was the last person to net for his country, which came in a 7-1 defeat to Wales last November.

Miovski only managed to come on for eight minutes against Switzerland, despite being one of the more high-profile names that his nation has.

The interesting part about this is that Goce Sedloski brought on other forwards before making Miovski his last substitute, along with teammate Luka Stankovski.

That's all too similar to Miovski's Ibrox fortunes, with the likes of Ryan Naderi and Kevin Kelsy ahead of him in the pecking order, even while Youssef Chermiti and Lawrence Shankland remain injured.

Miovski has racked up 164 minutes for his nation during the break, less than two full games after four matches.

His chances may not be any better upon returning to Govan.

Who could Miovski join in January?

Rangers were open to selling or sanctioning a loan move for Miovski in the summer transfer window, but Shankland's injury caused a few complications.

Kelsy only arrived at Ibrox late in the window, which may have scuppered Miovski's chances of a move.

Nevertheless, Miovski recently announced he left his agency after being unable to find a new move.

Turkish side Genclerbirligi, Feyenoord and LASK were all credited with interest ahead of the deadline, and could return for him in the January window.
